Why is it so important to do a sea trial?
Sea trials give the customer, the dealer, and John Deere the opportunity to review the installation of a marine engine to make sure that everything works as it should and the performance curve limits are followed. Ensuring the engine is installed as per John Deere’s Application Guidelines and Performance Curve limits leads to improved reliability, higher customer satisfaction and lower warranty costs. It also allows for a baseline of engine performance so if the customer experiences issues in the future we are not relying on anecdotal evidence to determine what has changed and to what degree.
